Sunday, 30th August 2026. Bolt Head. Long Walk, 6 miles. Moderate. 

Bolt Head, Starehole Bottom, Sharpitor, Tor Woods & East Tor Farm,

Start at 10.00 at East Soar NT car park. GR: SX713375. w3w: ///relies.unframed.stitch.

Sunday, 6th September 2026. Whitchurch Common. Short Walk, 4.5 miles. Medium. 

Whitchurch Common, Pew Tor, Vixen Tor.

 

Leader: Joe

Start at 10.00 at Pork Hill Car Park, GR: SX530751. Take the B3357 Princetown Road from Tavistock. After 4 miles, the car park is on the right at the top of Pork Hill. 

Wednesday, 9th September 2026. Yealmpton. Mini Walk, 2.5 miles. Easy. 

Waltacre, Puslinch Bridge & Yealmpton Church. Some gentle ups & downs and a double stile.

Start at 10.00 at New Road, Yealmpton. GR: SX580517.

Take the A379 to Yealmpton. Turn right by the petrol station if you are coming from Plymouth. There will be a tearoom visit after the walk. 

Sunday, September 13th 2026, Lyme Regis Coach Trip. Various Walks.

 

Departure points:

Plymstock. 09:00. Dean Cross Car Park. PL9 7AZ. Free on Sundays.

Plympton. 09:15. Bus stop opposite St. Mary’s Church. Free parking in Market Road Car Park. PL7 1QW.

Ivybridge. 09:30. Bus stop adjacent to the Watermark. Paid parking nearby. PL21 0RU.

The coach will call into Exeter Services for a quick toilet stop.

 

The Walks.

Walk 1. Leaders Pam & Dave. 6.5 miles.  Moderate. This walk starts from Holmbush Car Park and uses paths on the Undercliff, round Pinhay Warren, then descending to the Cobb and the Lyme Regis sea front. Toilets at start. Bring picnic lunch. Walkers will be picked up at Charmouth Road Car Park.

Walk 2. Leaders Ailie & Izzie. 5 miles. This is a mostly easy, circular walk starting from the coach park and following the River Lym to Uplyme. It returns via the Cannington Viaduct and steep paths/steps down to the Cobb & the Lyme Regis sea front. Toilets at start. Bring picnic lunch.

Walk 3. Join Chris on an easy stroll around Lyme Regis. 2 miles. Toilets at start. There are lots of opportunities for refreshments in the town, but we will have a stop to enjoy a picnic lunch if you bring one.

 

Or you can just do your own thing. The museum is interesting & sea bathing is possible.

The coach will leave Charmouth Road Car Park, Lyme at 17.00 and will stop at the Devon Hotel in Exeter for a carvery meal. £16.99pp. We will be back in Plymstock by 21.00 approximately.

Sunday, September 20th 2026, Polperro & Looe, Short Walk, 5.5 miles. Medium.

From Polperro take coastal route back to Looe. Bus back from Looe (remember bus pass).

Catch the No. 10 bus from Milehouse to Polperro. Times and other details will be advised later.
Quite a few ups and downs. Coffee/Lunch at Talland Bay. 

Sunday, September 27th 2026, Loddiswell. Short Walk, 5 miles. Medium

Avon Mill to Topsham Bridge.

Start at 10.00 from the Avon Garden Centre, Loddiswell. GR: SX720487.

Parking in the garden centre. Tea after walk. 

Sunday, October 4th 2026, Crazywell. Long Walk, 7.5 miles. Medium

Moorland walk visiting Crazywell Pool area (optional swim!), Princetown, Jail Ale Brewery.

Start at 10.00 in car park at GR: SX562701. From Yelverton, take the B3212 towards Princetown. After about 4 miles the car park is on the left, downhill, just past the walking route to Sharpitor. 

Sunday, October 11th 2026, Wembury Circular. Short Walk, 5 miles. Easy.

Footpaths to coast, Wembury Church and return.

Start at 10.00 from the car park off Barton Close. GR: SX528496. On entering Wembury turn left past the school, then left again into Barton Close. 

Tuesday, October 13th 2026, Yealmpton. Mini Walk, 2 miles. Easy.

Yealmpton Puslinch circular.

Start at 10.00 at Ben’s Farm cafe car park. In Yealmpton, turn left just past the right turn to Noss Mayo, Coffee in cafe after walk. 

Sunday, October 18th 2026, Saltram. Short Walk, 4.5 miles. Medium.

Saltram circular incorporating the new Saltram East trail.

Start at 10.00 from the Saltram car park. Meet in the quadrangle by the duck pond. 

Sunday, October 25th 2026, Burrator. Long Walk, 6 miles. Medium.

Yennadon Down, Burrator Reservoir, Norsworthy Bridge & return to Lowery Cross.

Start at 10.00 from the Lowery Cross car park, GR: SX547692. From Yelverton, go past the Burrator Inn. At the top of the hill turn right. Car park is on the right after 200 meters. Bring a packed lunch. 

Sunday, November 1st 2026, Sharpitor. Short Walk, 4.5 miles. Medium.

Routrundle, Lowery Cross, Peakhill plantation, Lowery Tor & Sharpitor.

Start at 10.00 from the Leedon Tor car park on the B3212 Yelverton to Princetown road. GR: SX560709 w3w: ///piper.shelving.highbrow. 

Sunday, November 8th 2026, Thurlestone. Short Walk, 5 miles. Medium.

Thurlstone to South Milton Sands, then the coastal path overlooking Burgh Island. Return via the golf course.

Start at 10.00 from Court Park, Thurlstone GR: SX431680. Thurlstone Court Park is the first turning on the left, just after the 30mph sign as you enter Thurlstone. Coffee & lunch stops, Some steady inclines & no stiles.

Tuesday, November 10th 2026, Mothecombe. Mini Walk, 2 miles. Medium.

Mothecombe, visiting the beach, headland, and estuary. 

 

Leader: Joy

Start at 10.00 from Mothecombe beach car park. GR: SX612477. Take the A379. Two miles beyond Yealmpton turn right and follow the signs to Mothecombe. Good views and history info.en route. Coffee stop on way back. 

Sunday, November 15th 2026, Kingston. Long Walk, 6 miles. Medium.

Circular walk from Kingston.

Furzedown woods, coastal path from Wonwell to Westcombe beach. Return to Kingston.

Start at 10.00 from Kingston church and surrounding roads. GR: SX635477. 
Possible meet at 09.15 for car share at Haye Road car park, Elburton. 

Sunday, November 22nd 2026, St. Germans. Short Walk, 3 miles. Easy.

St Germans Quay, Port Eliot and the surrounding countryside. Possible refreshments at Stables cafe.

Start at approx 11.00 from St Germans Rail Station. Meet at 10.15 at Plymouth Station to catch the 10.32 to St.Germans or join at intermediate stations. (TBC).  

Sunday, December 6th 2026, Plymbridge. Short Walk Choice, 4.5 & 3 miles. Easy.

Christmas meal and walk. Meal at Borringdon Golf Club. Walks in Plymbridge & Cann Woods.

Start time for the walks is 10.00 from the NT car park on the East side of Plym Bridge. GR: SX525586. Take the B3416 towards Plympton. Turn left just after the Asda garage into Larkham Lane. At the T-junction turn left into Plymbridge Road & continue to the bridge. 

Tuesday, December 8th 2026, Marsh Mills. Mini Walk, 2 miles. Easy.

Paths, tracks & some road work to Marsh Mills. Return by bus. Remember bus pass.

Meet at Mudge Way south LS car park ( free). PL7 2PS. Entrance to the CP is behind the Rees Centre & adjacent to the Health centre. 

Sunday, December 13th 2026, Cotehele. Short Walk, 4.5 miles. Moderate.

Cotehele Mill & Quay. Riverside towards Calstock, Danescombe incline & past Cotehele Consols mine ruins.
