Sunday, 19th April. Dartmouth. Long Walk, 6 miles. Moderate.

Dartmouth.

Leaders: Jacci & John.

The route through Dartmouth has been closed for quite a while so we are recommending an easier route by turning right to Stoke Flemming on the B3205 and following the signs to Dartmouth. Another sign also directs you to the Castle Tea Rooms - TQ6 0JN. what3words:///splice.evaporate.limits.

Sharp right turn over the bridge and then first road on right called Castle Road. Plenty of parking all the way up to the top, where you can turn. Steps up top will take you down to the tearooms and toilets. Meet there at 10.00. We will be at the bottom of Castle Road from about 09.30.

From there we will walk to Bayards Cove for a coffee break then along to the higher ferry (£1.00) card only. After crossing we go into Hoodown woods and walk to the end of Kingswear creek for lunch. We then return via the railway path back to the Ferry and return to our cars. There can be a cut-off on this walk by returning on the lower ferry (£2.50). We recommend car share from King George 5th playing fields at 8.45 am.

Sunday, 26th April. Norsworthy Bridge. Short Walk, 3.5 miles. Moderate.

Along Newleycombe Lake to Roundy, then via Keaglesborough mine and Leathertor Bridge to the Devonport Leat.

Lots of archaeological interest. Cross country and rough tarcks, to be taken slowly. Two stiles that can be avoided by cutting the walk short. Gradual ups and downs with one or two slight scrambles. Toilets at the dam. Lunch available afterwards at the Burrator Inn.

Leader: Sarah N.

Start at 10.00 at Norsworthy Bridge. Grid Ref SX568693 (what3words:///comically.removable.punters).

Turn left at the Burrator Dam and continue to the far end of the reservoir.
