Sunday, 29th June. Long Walk. Whiddon Down. Medium. 6.2 miles.

Whiddon Down. Gradual uphill for ½ mile.

 

Leader: Dave B.
Start at 10.00 at the Ashburton Long Stay car park. Take the A38 to the Ashburton exit, then the right lane. Take the next right turn into the old Totnes Road (20mph). After the church, turn left into North Street, then go over the bridge and into the car park.

Sunday, 6th July. Short Walk. Stover Park. Easy. 4.5 miles.

Stover Park trail. Walk through Stover Nature reserve & beyond.

Start at 10.00 at Stover Park car park (SX 835 752). Take the A38 to Drumbriges and turn off torwards Trago Mills on the A382 Newton Abbot Road. After 300 metres the entrance to Stover Park is on your left.

Cost of parking: £4 cash, card or Ringo. 

Sunday, 13th July. Short Walk & Barbecue. Yelverton. Easy. 4 miles.

 

Leader: Norman (Walk), Dave B. (Barbeque).
Start at 14.00 at Yelverton Memorial Village Hall, Meavy Lane (SX 523 678). What 3 words: Gloves.impulse.streetcar. Take the A386 toYelverton. Turn right just before the Yelverton roundabout. The hall is on the right along Meavy Lane. The barbeque starts at 17:00 at Yelverton Village Hall.   

Sunday, 20th July. Long Walk. East Soar & Bolt Head. Medium. 6.5 miles.

East Soar to Rew and South Sands around Bolt Head (some notable ups and downs on good paths).

Start at 10.00 at East Soar NT car park (SX 713 375). Take the A379 to Malborough. Turn right where the main road turns left and go through the village. Follow signs to East Soar, bearing left at the Y-junction.

Tuesday, 22nd July. Mini-Walk. 2.1 miles.

Ringmore Down, Stone circles and Brisworthy Farm.

  

Leader: Derek.
Start at 10.00 at the Brisworthy Plantation car park (SX 554 657). From Plympton, take the Boringdon Road to Cadover, cross the bridge and take the next road on the right. After 300 metres, the entrance to the car park is on the right. 

Sunday, 3rd August. Short Walk. Easy/Medium 5.5 miles.

Coastal path around Rame Head to Cawsand and return to Wiggle. No stiles. Coffee on Rame Head. Bring a packed lunch. 

 

Leaders: Alun and Diana.
Start at 10.00 at Wiggle car park, Rame (SX 419 503). Take the Torpoint Ferry and then on to Antony on the B3247 to the T-junction. Turn left and then right on to the coastal road past Freathy and the car park is on the left by Wiggle Farm, just before the turning to Cawsand. 

Tuesday, 12th August. Mini Walk. Easy. 2 miles.

Gardens and waterfront of Mount Edgcombe

Start at 10.15 at the Cremyll Ferry. This ferry currently leaves from Royal William Yard (to be confirmed later). Cost £2.50. Catch the no.34 bus from Royal Parade to Royal William Yard. 

Sunday, 17th August. Long Walk. Medium. 6 miles.

Dartington Hall estate. Circular walk visiting Staverton. Bring a packed lunch.

Start at 10.00 in the Dartington Craft Centre car park by Shinners Bridge, off the A385 Dartington (SX 787 623). Parking charges apply (alternative bus option will be issued later).

Sunday, 31st August. Short Walk. Medium. 5 miles.

Cadover to the Dewerstone and return.

 

Leader: Pat.
Start at 10.00 at Cadover car park (SX 555 645). Take the Boringdon Hill out of Plympton to the crossroads and then go straight ahead to Cadover car park.

Sunday, 7th September. Short Walk. Easy. 5 miles.

Yennadon Down, Crossgates and return via the reservoir. 

 

Leader: Sandie.
Start at 10.00 at Burrator Quarry car park. From Yelverton take the B3212 to Dousland and turn right towards Burrator. The Quarry car park is on the left before the dam.

Tuesday, 10th September. Mini Walk. Easy. 2.5 miles.

Walk around the Hemerdon Area

 

Leader: Joy.
Meet at 10.00 at The Miners Arms car park Hemerdon Lane (SX 993 654). We can park here if we pop in for a drink /snack. Take the B3417 out of Plympton. After 2 miles turn left into Hemerdon Lane to the Miners Arms. 

Sunday, 21st September. Long Walk. Medium. 7 miles.

Easdon Down and Cripdon Down.


Leader: Dave B.
Start at 10.00 at Manaton Church car park (SX 799 782). Take the Drumbridges exit from the A38 on to the A382 to Bovey Tracey. Then turn left on to the A3387.  After 0.75 mile, turn right towards Redaford Water. Continue ahead through Freeland, then Manaton car park is next to the church.
